Another "Must Have" Tool
PostedNovember 13, 2014
Here's another "must have" tool. This thing has saved my bacon so many times I can't count. Every time I do a drive swap I use this baby to clone to the new drive so that when I install it it's good to go from the get go. And every time it does just what it's supposed to do and just what I want it to do .... it's fantastic. I can't recommend this adapter highly enough. If you're looking to swap out the "stock" hard drive from your pre-Retina MBP or <2014 Mac Mini, you want to do it right the first time, and you don't want to spend a lot of cash in the process, then you need one of these adapters. This baby will make life a ton easier for you and in the long run will return it's purchase price with the first use.
Pros: Quality, Durability, functionality, ease of use, price
I have repaired Macs since 1984, when Apple sent my first two to me to write a book on programming them in Assembly code. All this time I ahve experimented with external disk drives and tools to fix hard drives. This compact and effective tool has proven to be the most useful for reformatting, repairing or testing bare hard drives. I have even used it for solid state drives. It is easily contained in a single pint-sized ziplock bag for transportation and to keep all its parts together in one place.
Pros: Quality, Durability, useable with both macs and windows machines
