Very useful - no issues encountered

I picked up the quad Voyager for use with my 2011 Mac Mini. The FW interface of the Voyager is the third device in the FW chain - after a OWC Elite Pro Dual I purchased about a year ago., and a WD MyBook Studio. I have not experienced any drive drops when the Voyager is connected (powered on or off). Data transfer speed is very good, even at the end of the FW800 chain. I have added a FW400 device on the far side of the Voyager with good results. But the FW400 device is not accessible on the other side of the Voyager unless the Voyager is powered on, and has a drive inserted.
Overall, I am very happy with the Q Voyager. I would easily recommend this product to anyone who has naked drives they need to access.
I did not verify/test the esata interface, but did have the device connected to a Win7 laptop via USB3 with good results.
This is my second Voyager Q dock and was purchased based on the performance of my first one - which is still functioning fine after several years of constant use.
Using an older iMac I wanted to make use of the FW800 connection for speed. The Voyager comes with the FW800 cables (along with USB and eSata) allowing me to daisy chain the two units. Works like a champ and I would, and do recommend this product every chance I get.
This is a great product to use when you need to connect to a computer with more than just USB. It is easy to use and can quickly swap bare drives. I use it to access/boot drives on older machines that can't boot from USB. Very versatile.
